Dr. LINDSAY JACKFERT
Orthodontist
Dr. Lindsay Jackfert is very excited to be returning to Charleston, WV to join the Orthodontic practice of Dr. Donna Panucci. Lindsay was born and raised in Charleston and graduated with honors from George Washington High School in 1997. She then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2001 from West Virginia University, where she graduated magna cum laude. In 2005, Lindsay earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry, where she graduated in the top 5% of her class. Following her graduation from Dental School, Lindsay entered the Orthodontic Program at the West Virginia University School of Dentistry and earned her Master's in Orthodontics in 2008.
Lindsay loves being outdoors. You can try to catch her on the go as she is a lover of running. She also enjoys playing tennis with her mother (although she claims she never wins) and is beginning to master the game of golf. She is planning on taking golf lessons and hopes to beat her husband one of these days. She loves to sing and has an intense love of theatre. Lindsay was in many performances with Charleston's theatre and Kanawha Players as a young child. She hopes to return to the Charleston stage in the near future.
Lindsay is recently married to a Charleston native, Truman Griffith. They tied the knot in beautiful Jamaica. Truman is an attorney and works at Warner law offices in downtown Charleston. They enjoy traveling and are always up for an exotic trip. They also share a passion for snow skiing and hope to conquer the territory out west. As West Virginia Alumni, they both bleed blue and gold. They never miss a Mountaineer home football game and try to attend as many away games as possible. They also enjoy spending time with Trumans daughter, Madison.
Dr. Jackfert comes from a large family. She has two brothers and a sister. Her brother, John, is a dentist here in Charleston, WV. Her sister, Katelin, just completed her nursing degree and is a nurse in Arlington, VA, where she works with stroke patients. Her youngest brother, Matt, has a passion for music. He most recently composed a piece that was performed by the WV youth symphony. Lindsay's mother is a counselor at George Washington High School and is always on the go. Her father was the late Dr. Kent Jackfert, an oral surgeon that practiced in Charleston for many years. The other member of the family is a black lab named Baxter. Baxter spends most of his time sleeping the days away.
Lindsay is a member of the American Association of Dentists and the American Association of Orthodontists. Throughout her education, Lindsay has received several awards for excellence in research and academics. She enjoys being an active member of her community and volunteers through many organizations. Her church, St. George Orthodox Cathedral, is a very special place to her. She is also a member of the Junior League of Charleston and an active volunteer with the Read-Aloud WV campaign. When asked about her volunteer work in the community Dr. Jackfert stated, "I love to give back to my community. It is such a rewarding and fulfilling feeling to help others".
BECKY MORRIS
Executive Assistant
Registered Dental Hygienist
Becky has been a Registered Dental Hygienist for 19 years. Becky never dreamed she'd be working in an orthodontic office, but after meeting Dr. Panucci many years ago and seeing the extraordinary results in their mutual patients, her interest in the field of orthodontics soon bloomed into somewhat of a passion.
Becky describes her teammates as "incredible". "I can't say enough about Dr. Panucci and our entire team. It's not just about creating beautiful, healthy smiles at our office….it is also about having a positive impact and relationship with each patient individually. My husband Greg, and I were both patients of Dr. Panucci's several years ago and we know first hand what an amazing person as well as an extraordinary orthodontist she is."
Both Becky and her husband Greg, are very involved at Elkview Baptist Church. Glory, her precious Labrador retriever, creates lots of fun and excitement in the Morris household! Becky enjoys riding her motorcyle and participating in charity events.
PATTI SHAFFER
Appointment Coordinator
With a style all her own and 18 years of invaluable experience, Patti has been around the orthodontic world a long time. Her unique sense of humor brings tons of fun to our patients and team members alike!
"I love to talk to all the different people I meet in the office and I enjoy the children so much…they are so honest and say the funniest things! They really seem to have fun here!" Patti states with a grin.
Away from the office, Patti and her husband of 35 years have two children, Travis and Nikki. She also has a handsome grandson named Bryson.Patti also enjoys traveling, camping, and horses.
KELLEY GILMORE
Financial Director
Kelley is a multi-talented member of Dr. Panucci's committed team, wearing many hats with knowledge galore! "I love watching patients bloom as they go through orthodontic treatment - talk about building self-esteem!" she states.
Kelley loves boating, traveling, music, reading, photography and scrapbooking. She and her husband Jim have two children (Chelseah and J.C.), both who are currently attending college and two dogs (Gracie and Pedro) - life at the Gilmores' is never dull!
LORI MALLORY

Registered Dental Hygienist
Lori is a registered dental hygienist who chooses to practice orthodontics because she enjoys the challenge and seeing the amazing transformation that orthodontics provides to her patients. We have a great team here which makes for a pleasant atmosphere to be a part of every day.
Lori and her husband Mark have two children, Brittany and Nicholas. Brittany is a working college student and Nick is a busy high schooler. She enjoys watching him swim and play soccer. In her spare time, she enjoys DIY projects around the house and gardening. Her favorite tv channel is HGTV which often sparks new ideas for home improvement projects, much to her husbands dismay!
BEV SCHISSLER

Bev offers each patient a bright smile and encouraging conversation. She loves seeing the changes in the teeth, in the smiles, and also an increase in the overall self-esteem of the patients. Bev says, "Dr. Panucci, with her knowledge and enthusiasm, make it an enjoyable place to work-- the positive results are fantastic. The Doctor provides opportunities for us to attend continuing education courses throughout the year. . .she is constantly striving to help us excel in our profession."
Bev was born in Arizona and grew up all over the Western United States. An avid gardener, Bev also loves creating stained glass, sewing, and crafts of any kind, but she really enjoys golfing with Rob, her husband. They have many precious godchildren and a doggie, Cowboy Ben, as well as Laz, the cat.
CHRIS MEADOWS

Chris and her wonderful husband, Todd, are the proud parents of their son, Garrett. They also have a Shitzoo named Lincoln. Out of the office, Chris enjoys cooking, crafts and being with family.
LORI BURDETTE
Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Lori loves the challenge that orthodontics brings. Having completed Carver Career Center for Dental Assisting, she worked as a dental assistant for 10 years before joining the team. "Orthodontics is an amazing field for dentistry. I love what we offer to our patients."
Lori enjoys shopping, camping, the beach and her family. Lori and her husband, Matt, are blessed with two children, Mason and Morgan. They stay busy running the kids to their sporting activities: basketball, baseball and gymnastics.
MELISSA FIELDS
Certified Orthodontic Assistant
A certified orthodontic assistant, Melissa, provides gentle care for her patients in a soothing, reassuring manner, also remembering even the smallest personal detail. Melissa loves working with the Doctors and her awesome team members!
Melissa and her husband Scott stay busy keeping up with their two children, Devin and Madison, as well as their cat, Oreo and their dog, Ollie. Melissa enjoys shopping, going to the movies, and spending time outdoors with her family.
JENNI STEPHENSON
Director of Clinical Operations
Jenni joins our team in a multi-task position. She oversees the clinic, helps with clinical research and works the Records Room. Jenni married her childhood sweetheart, Joey, and they have two kids: Tayven, their little girl and Cobra, their dachshund. In her spare time, she loves riding her motorcycle and hunting. Most of all, she loves to watch Tayven play softball and basketball.
STEPHANIE CARNES

Stephanie Carnes is indeed multi-talented…she has worn many hats since she came to the office in 2003 ranging from appointment coordinator to lab assistant! Her intense focus and attention to detail has landed her the dual role of Insurance Specialist and lab technician for Dr. Panucci and Dr. Jackfert. Highly organized and personable, Stephanie enjoys the challenge and structure needed to process and follow-up on the countless insurance claims and retainers that pass through the office.
Outside the office, “Mrs. Carnes” (as she likes to refer to her newlywed self!) and her husband Jeremy, love spending their time together. They enjoy 4-wheeling and camping in WV State Parks, as well as the whole beach experience! Having obtained an Associate Degree from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, Stephanie thoroughly enjoys taking pictures. Her favorite subject to photograph? That would be “Mr. Carnes” of course!
HOPE BAILEY
Orthodontic Assistant

Hope and her husband Fred have two beautiful daughters, Emily and Allie. They also have a Jack Russell Terrier mix named Myrtle. Her favorite thing to do is watch her daughters do what they love: dance, play soccer and ride motorcycles (with their daddy of course!) In her spare time, she enjoys shopping (especially with her mother!)
DEE MOORE
New Patient Consultant
Dee's enthusiasm and love for her patients shines through as she educates them about the choices available in today's orthodontics. "Dr. Panucci and Dr. Jackfert provide extraordinary orthodontic results! I enjoy explaining the details to new patients and making them feel welcome at our office, " says Dee. "Making a difference in their lives is so rewarding! I am truly blessed to be part of one of the most amazing orthodontic teams in the country, both in clinical results as well as the quality of care we provide-AWESOME!"
Away from the office, Dee enjoys yoga, reading, cooking and spending time with her husband, Scott. She has two grown children, Zach and Megan, as well as two Labrador retrievers, Tannah and Little Miss Zoey, all of whom fill her days with joys and challenges!
TINA CRANE
Practice Administrator
Tina was first introduced to Dr. Panucci and her wonderful team when she brought her daughter in for orthodontic treatment. "The energy, professionalism, and friendliness that are so prevalent in the practice excited me. I wouldn't have dreamed of taking my daughter to anyone else. And I was thrilled to be offered an opportunity to become a part of such a dynamic team!"
With a BA in English from Glenville State College, and a Master's Degree in Organizational Communication from West Virginia University, Tina is in charge of systemizing the practice, as well as the Director of Coaching Services for Dr. Panucci's newest venture, Panucci Coaching Group, LLC (www.panuccicoaching.com).
Tina's favorite activity when not at work is traveling with her husband, Bill, and their three children, Nicole, Derek, and Joshua.
SANDI PAYNE

I have been impressed with Dr. Panucci and her team since they started treating my children years ago. I trusted her to be the best and working here has confirmed; she truly is the best. The office has always been very professional and fun. I knew this would be a great place to work and I have not been disappointed. The busy pace at home has prepared me for the busy pace at the office.
Between my husband and 3 sons, there is always some activity going on; ranging from music to sports. One of my greatest joys outside my family is my work with the children’s program at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Away from the office, Ashley enjoys playing softball, shopping, exercising and anything that keeps her active! She loves spending time with her husband, Trey, as well as her family and friends. Most importantly, she loves her adorable animals: 3 Pomeranians named Baxter, Bella and Lilly, a miniature dachshund named Lucy, a miniature Yorkie named Tiki and her cat Grady!
